2020 is OVER! Finally! I've never been so glad to put a year in my rearview mirror. My goal for this year, since I spend a significant amount of time working towards the launch of my debut YA Fantasy novel Songs Of Autumn and working full-time in healthcare in the middle of a global pandemic... was very modest comparatively. My goal was only to read... 25 books. And the thing is... I made that goal with every intention of blowing it out of the water. While, yes, I did exceed my goal... it wasn't by much. I only finished 31 books this year.
Here are my Stats for 2020!!
Total pages read: 12,386
Total books read: 31
Shortest book read: The Haunting of Hill House 182 pages
Longest book read: Outlander 850 pages
Average length of books read: 399 pages
Average rating for books read: 3.7/5 stars
The Yays! (4/5 Stars)
The Mehs (3 Stars)
The Boos (>3 Stars or DNFs)
Beauty In Darkness By Elizabeth Briggs
The Starless Sea By Erin Morgenstern
Middle Passage By Charles Johnson
All in all, 2020 was a pretty good year and I read a lot of books i enjoyed. I think for 2021 I'm going to try to branch out my genre's more and read some more adult material. Let me know if you have any recommendations? How was your year in books? Did you discover any amazing new series or stories? I can't wait to read all kinds of books in the upcoming year!
