I am so excited to announce that Cavalier House Books (a local indie bookstore) and Le Chien Brewing Company (a local brewery) are coming together to host a Launch Party Event for the release of Guns & Smoke in my hometown!
For those of you who didn't know, the COVID-19 pandemic really took the wind out of my sails and threw a huge wrench in all of my launch plans for my debut YA Fantasy novel Songs Of Autumn that was released at the end of November in 2020. All of my careful plans had to suddenly pivot and turn virtual. And if any of you have listened to me wax poetic about marketing practices for indie published authors you know that the rule of 7 is a marketing principle that says it takes 7 times for someone to see an ad for something before they'll even click on it to get more information, effectively making it harder to makes sales online.
Can it be done? Yes. But, the fact remains that it takes a lot more effort, time, and money than to hold in person events where you can answer questions and make sales. Also, I never got to do an author signing, read excerpts, or engage readers in a real personal way the way I'd always dreamed of doing. Cavalier House Books and Le Chein are giving me an opportunity to celebrate this amazing accomplishment in a way I haven't been able to before. I couldn't be more excited to not only partner with local businesses, but also to support our community.

It will be available platform wide, but the only autographed copies will be available exclusively through them and at in-person events.
